Happiness and Maturity

I have a theory

“A guy’s Maturity is proportional to the distance from the parents and his happiness is proportional to the square of the distance from his in-laws.”

What do you think?

well not if u spend the night like I did…..
this guy had come over for some test….
1) he calls me up on friday evening that next day evening he will come over to my place…. with no regard to what i might be doing.
2) since i live walkable distance from the airport… and had some other work… i left clear cut directions with his parents (including landmarks and turns) which he never bothered to pick up.
3) it took him 1.5 hours to reach my place…. why because he was busy chatting with one of his friends who also was traveling with him.. so he reached my place at 1:30am.
4) Since his cellphone did not have any balance.. he did not inform me he would be delayed.
5) his shoes stinked….. i had to throw them out of my house.
6) i had told him that we have to leave at 8:00am… and even gave him a simple mechanical alarm clock. but it was too complicated for him so he woke up at 7:45 am
7) he had no clue where the exam was… had no maps or directions with him

should i say more.
BTW he forgot to say thanks to me, or even a courtesy apology for keeping me awake all night.

hmm.. so the first part is justified..
sorry that u were at the receiving end.
what abt the second ?

thanks vivek and crazyhorsechief 🙂

@sree….
//sorry that u were at the receiving end.//
i got the better deal… he gave me a post to write… and crystallize the idea.

about the second part…
why r nuclear families so much cherished by women?
why is the ghar-jamai (son in law staying with the girl’s parents) a bad word?

//i got the better deal… he gave me a post to write… and crystallize the idea.//
great attitude , 100% 😉

//why r nuclear families so much cherished by women?//
Just so that their men can be a happier lot 🙂

//why is the ghar-jamai (son in law staying with the girl’s parents) a bad word?//
Is it bcos men like to have a false sense of control ?

Oh I need to add this..
the same men who take utmost care of thier in-laws when they come to live with them .

@sree

its like gajjar ka halwa (a desert) i love it… but in moderation.

so u agree to my theory.

whatever… but a separate house, finances, and work works excellently well for them… familiarity breeds contempt

and bcos its served at ur place 😛 u can moderate :))

But , ofcourse I agree…its such a noble thought 🙂

well..on a serious note..a man who has his eyes only on
having a good family life and not making a career out of a marriage wld never consent to such an arrangement .

//if good family life = happiness then the theory works…//
why ? is there anything else?

lemme check the link.

// haven’t u heard of the “Inheritance powder”.//
I just did .
I think its a risk the in-laws have to face for having a hostile son-in-law under their roof.
well…anyways what has the son-in-law to complain about ?

//I think its a risk the in-laws have to face for having a hostile son-in-law under their roof.//
hostile??? we son in laws just hasten the inevitable…. what could be better?

and imagine P..how’d it be when he finds out later that the son has inherited it all =))

I agree with the first part but the second part? You are a bachelor so how can you come to that conclusion?
Guys definitely need to be away from their parents otherwise they never grow up.They are babied by their mothers all their lives.
